Window Film Case Study: Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum needed to upgrade the glass on their display cabinets to meet current glazing regulations. These regulations came in to force in 1996 and apply to all glazing installed before the implementation of the regulations.

Solartek supplied and fitted Solartek 100 Micron Clear Safety film to the inner face of each cabinet, allowing the museum to meet their legal requirements without the cost of replacing the glass itself.

This glass will now break safely in the event of incident, protecting both staff and visitors from debris.

Solartek had strict time restrictions that they accommodated without question. They had to start at 6am every morning and be of site by 10 before we opened. They had to do this for many days and worked hard to complete the contracts in good time.
