May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and there are many things you can do to protect yourself from the harmful effects of UV rays. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends you seek the shade, especially between 10 AM and 4 PM, avoid tanning and UV tanning booths, use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher every day and make the installation of Panorama® window film, a top priority for home improvement projects this spring.
According to The Skin Cancer Foundation, more than 90% of all skin cancers are caused by sun exposure. Panorama window film provides an important and proactive layer of protection for people concerned with the harmful effects of the sun – including the onset of skin cancer and pre- mature aging. Many people do not realize they are exposed to the sun while at work or at home; professionally installed window films can be effective in blocking damaging UV rays in these environments.

Panorama window film is available in many shades and styles, so it does not need to noticeably affect window views.
"People need to be knowledgeable about protecting themselves and their families from the sun, and they should proactively guard against skin cancer. Panorama window film is a proactive measure to block harmful UV rays." said Christophe Fremont, President, Bekaert Specialty Films LLC, manufacturer of Panorama window film. "Once installed on a home or office, Panorama window film provides a year-round layer of protection from UV light and doesn’t require maintenance or special cleaning techniques."
In addition to solar protection, Panorama window films offer protection from dangerous shards of broken glass during disasters such as hurricanes and explosions and can impede burglaries by inhibiting break-ins through smashing windows and glass doors. Panorama window film also maintains ambient light while blocking high levels of solar heat, keeping the home cool, lowering air conditioning costs and helping conserve energy.
