Description of contract:
Solartek Films Ltd carried out complete Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulation 14 Glass Audit throughout BBC’s London buildings.
Solartek supplied a full time Site Manager to deal with the complex and sensitive issues whilst carrying out work for such a large corporation and needing to gain access to many sensitive areas.
The Sit e Manager was given the daunting task of keeping the operatives productive by working ahead of them marking the glass that requires installation of Safety Film and Manifestation applied, as well as having to plan the days ahead in order to organise BBC porters supplied to us to dismantle and move all objects that obstructed the access in many if not most areas
This was the only way Solartek envisaged a successful completion of this contract with minimal disruption to BBC staff as well as all the actors & actresses.
In the 2 years that Solartek were on site we did not receive any complaints.
Kate HorsmanSolartek Films had to gain access to every room throughout our London offices and studios. There were many highly sensitive areas and extremely busy overcrowded offices that needed film applied, so it was a credit to Solartek that the project was completed with minimal disruptions.
